Great photo editing and manipulation at a very affordable price

I am solving the problem of needing to frequently make adjustments and modifications to photos and graphics for use on websites, in video productions, or for printed items. Whether I need to correct a poorly exposed photo, adjust the size or shape of a photo or other image, or do more sophisticated things like remove the background of a photo or move objects around within an image, Paintshop always does the job.

Pros

Paintshop Pro does just about everything photo/image-related and it does it well. I mostly use it to manipulate photos and graphics for use in video projects or for use on web sites. I have also it for some more creative, artistic manipulation of photos. It's easy to use and works reliably. It has so many filters and effects. There are "easy" effects, where just one click will clean up a photo and improve the colors/exposure. Then there are all kinds of more sophisticated effects that require more effort to use, but they give you all kinds of capabilities.

Cons

For my purposes, I have not come across anything to dislike, outside of occasionally being criticized by some snobby Adobe Photoshop user for not using Adobe.

For me an excellent program and at a price much lower than Photoshop.
